Custom Woodwork Design

Ever since I inherited my dads tools as a young boy, I have always been making things from wood. Whilst pursuing my hobby over many years, I have acquired tools, knowledge and experience and taught myself many new techniques. My passion for woodworking has always been a hobby as the bulk of my working life has been spent as a HGV driver focusing mainly on heavy plant haulage. It was whilst doing this job that an accident at work left me injured and with plenty of time to think about direction and how to turn a hobby into a full time business. So, here I am. With the support and backing of my girlfriend and family I set up Black Cat Woodwork here in my small workshop near Huddersfield. I have made many things over the years, some as gifts for friends and family and some for paying customers. Pictures of some of these can be found in the portfolio section.
